In the past 10 years the DIG Festival has become an international point of reference for journalists devoted to investigations and reportage.
The festival had started in Riccione, but since 2020 it takes place in Modena.
Through our commitment, we strive to unmute voices and stories that are usually invisible in the mainstream media, opening up the stage to journalists, documentarists, whistleblowers, activists, writers and artists.
From 24 to 28 settembre 2025, in Modena, DIG Festival will welcome into its programme the 25 documentaries and 5 podcasts that will compete in the six competition categories (see the list of finalists)
Over the years, the chairmanship of our international jury, which consists of prominent figures from the world of journalism and the film industry, has alternated between prestigious names such as Naomi Klein, Paolo Pellegrin, Florence Aubenas, Gavin MacFadyen, Jeremy Scahill, Günter Wallraff and Alexander Nanau.
