Ilona Moricz was a juror for Journalismfund's European Cross-border grant programme from 2019 until 2023. Mr. Moricz is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Independent Journalism (CIJ), a Hungarian not-for-profit media development foundation. She joined CIJ in 1997 as deputy director, and worked as director from 2006 to 2018. A journalist by profession, she worked as international news editor for many years at the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) and the political daily Kurír. Currently, she works as a consultant on media projects in Hungary and internationally.
