VICENZA / LOTE PARSHURAM - What happens to a Western chemical plant after it closes down due to causing an environmental disaster? To India. This investigation reveals how a factory producing PFAS at the centre of an environmental scandal in Italy was dismantled and rebuilt in India, where production of 'forever chemicals' has resumed.

VALENCIA - In recent years, several European countries have faced devastating floods, sparking discussions on how to mitigate or prevent such disasters. In Spain, the tragedy in Valencia in October 2024 has led to the exploration of solutions like early warning systems, architectural adaptations, and better regulation of flood-prone areas. 

BRUSSELS - Over a year, a team of 46 journalists in 16 countries investigated an ongoing massive, orchestrated lobbying and disinformation campaign. This campaign was led by the PFAS industry and their allied organisations. Their goal was to water down a proposal to ban "forever chemicals" in the EU. They also sought to shift the burden of environmental pollution onto society. This threatens the economic equilibrium of European nations.

MILAN/ROTTERDAM - Many cities in Europe are experimenting with citizen’s assemblies to develop stronger and more inclusive climate policies. But are these experiments effective? The team investigated the value and shortcomings of the assemblies as a climate policies solution.
