Bernd Hauser is a reporter from Denmark.
He studied geography in Tübingen and Maynooth, Ireland, and completed his journalistic training as a fellow at the IfP (Institut zur Förderung publizistischen Nachwuchses) in Munich. After a traineeship at the Stuttgarter Nachrichten, he joined Zeitenspiegel Reportagen in 1999.
He lives in Copenhagen and writes primarily on social and economic issues in Scandinavia and East Africa. Recipient of various journalism awards, most recently the DGA Award (2023) and the Kindernothilfe Media Award (2023).
