Els Put is an independent Belgian journalist.
Her work focuses on health and illness, education and care. Her motivation is to give people a voice. For example, she previously wrote "2 Parents Apart", in which she let young people talk about their parents' divorce. Since 2003, she has been reporting on cancer patients' stories in the magazine "Leven" of "Kom op tegen Kanker". As cancer has also turned her life upside down, she was the right person to talk to for the people who tell their stories in this book.
