Francesco Pistilli is an Italian documentary photographer and cinematographer who also teaches photography.

He won the 2018 World Press Photo Award in the General News Stories category for his series Lives in Limbo.

His work has been widely published and distributed in several international magazines and media outlets, including: TIME, National Geographic, Nature, Libération, BBC, Le Monde, L'Espresso, Internazionale, Politico, Die Zeit, Wired, Elle, La Repubblica, Vanity Fair, the Financial Times, Republik and the Independent, among others.
