Gert van Goethem is a Belgian graphic designer and illustrator.
Gert started his graphic design career as an illustrator and art director in the Ghent-based creative collective FBS Studio, which had some nice clients: the Festival of Flanders BRXL, KlaraFestival, the Royal Palace and the National Lottery. They also worked for music groups such as Wallace Vanborn and Raketkanon.
These days, he works mainly as a freelance illustrator; De Morgen is one of his regular clients. He is also the proud owner of his own label, Dirty Belgium. In addition, animation has been his great passion for years, which he uses in his personal projects and to support other creatives. Since August 2017, he is also at the helm of Ship of Fools.
