Kristin Kasten

Kristin Kasten is a freelance journalist from Leipzig, Germany.

She is a member of Zeitenspiegel Reportagen. Her work has appeared in several publications in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. She has reported from Burkina Faso, Rwanda, Panama, Myanmar, and China, covering stories that shed light on social issues and human rights.

Kristin has received several awards and fellowships for her work, most recently the 3rd Prize in the category “Children’s Jury Award” at the 2024 Kindernothilfe Media Award. Based in Leipzig, she works wherever the next story takes her.
