Magda Bandera is the co-founder and director of the Spanish digital publication La Marea.

Magda has a degree in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She has worked as a journalist for several media outlets, including TV3, Catalunya Ràdio, El Periódico and La Sexta. She is also the editor of Climàtica, the first magazine to specialise in global warming. In 2020, it was recognised with a Special Mention by the Human Rights Institute of Catalonia. In 2017, she won the Women's Press Prize, and in 2019, she won the Good Practices in Non-Sexist Communication Prize from the Association of Women Journalists of Catalonia, in recognition of her journalistic work on the consequences of male violence against women.
