Natalia Martín Cantero is a journalist, author, trainer, and university lecturer based in Brussels, Belgium.
She has reported extensively on mental health and wellbeing for Spanish-language media outlets worldwide, including Univision Noticias, El País, Rtve.es and Spain’s leading news agency, Agencia EFE, where she served as a US correspondent for seven years.
As an associate professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), she has supervised over 200 final degree projects, primarily in-depth, long-form and multimedia feature stories produced in both Spanish and English. She is the author of a psychology book and is currently working on her second book, which focuses on ageing well.
A Fulbright Scholar, Natalia holds an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri–Columbia, as well as a Master's in Journalism from the UAM–El País School. She is currently affiliated with The Self-Investigation, a non-profit organisation that supports media professionals and promotes healthier newsroom culture.
