Patricia Simon is a freelance journalist based in Madrid, Spain.

She is specialising in human rights and feminist approaches. She has worked in over 25 countries. She has covered the protests in Iraq, the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic in Spain, the fire in the Lesbos refugee camp, the presidential elections in the United States and Colombia, the rise of jihadism in Mozambique, the wars in Lebanon, Ukraine, Palestine, Colombia and Mali, the exodus from the war in Sudan, the earthquake in Morocco and the flood in Derna (Libya).

Her work has been recognised by the Spanish Association of Women in the Media Prize in 2013 and the Manuel Chaves Nogales International Prize, among others. She has published the books "Fear, a journey through a world that refuses to be ruled by hate" and "What War Transforms" (Random House).
