Sileye Nguette is a young journalist with a degree in Modern Literature from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and in Journalism and Communications from the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Management (ISEG). He began his career in 2019 at the Senegalese daily Le Témoin, before returning to journalism in 2022 with L'Observateur, part of the Futur Média Group (GFM), considered the largest private media outlet in Senegal.
Specialized in sports journalism, he has covered numerous events such as the Africa Cup of Nations, the Basketball Africa League, and Senegalese wrestling. He was also a radio show host on Top FM (Top Sport).
Passionate about investigative journalism, Sileye has written many articles on the relationships between coaches and young players, agents and players, and the influence of players' families on their careers.
A freelance contributor for magazines like Temps Morts and Équipe Afrique, he has also worked on the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games—the first time Africa will host the event.
