LISBOA -  This project is aimed at connecting with a new and vital audience of foreigners in Lisbon, offering content about the city in English. It will serve as both a bridge to reach immigrant readers and a tool to counter polarizing narratives with authentic, human-centered stories. We will showcase immigrant contributions to Lisbon’s cultural and economic fabric, address practical needs and build engagement and trust. It will hopefully bring a new layer of audiences to Mensagem.

This project represents a significant innovation for Mensagem de Lisboa: Mensagem has traditionally published content in Portuguese, and while the team has made some attempts at targeting the foreign-born community in the city, Lisboa Without Borders is the first initiative dedicated entirely to English-speaking audiences. This marks a major step in reaching the diverse immigrant population that has been underserved by existing content, topped with the fact that all this is being carefully tested and measured as it develops.
