Fundación porCausa is a non-profit organisation (Spain) specialising in investigative journalism that fills the gaps in migration coverage and shapes public debate through evidence-based reporting.
Since its creation in 2013, porCausa has published high-impact investigations on topics such as the migration control industry, human rights violations and other critical issues, published in prominent media outlets such as The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, El País, El Confidencial and Le Monde. Since 2018, porCausa has organised an International Congress of Migration Journalism, the only one of its kind in the world, bringing together over 300 professionals from around the world each year to discuss narratives and media coverage of migration.
