Szegeder is an independent, non-profit local news outlet founded in Szeged, Hungary, in 2017.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality journalism in the public interest, focusing on governance, culture and social issues. Our website reaches 150,000–200,000 readers per month, primarily urban professionals and engaged local residents. Our young, dynamic team comprises around 25 members, and we publish content through our website, social media channels and weekly newsletter.
